EKSU announces matriculation ceremony for the 2023/2024 session, EKSU, Ekiti State University

This serves to inform all freshmen that necessary arrangements have been concluded for the conduct of the 2023/2024 Matriculation Ceremony of the University, which is scheduled to hold as follows:

  • Date: Wednesday, 8th May, 2024
  • Venue: University Main AuditoriumEKSUBOT
  • Time: 10.00 a.m.

Please note that it is highly essential for all freshmen to men to be matriculated or else the University will assume that those who fail to matriculate have withdrawn voluntarily from the Institution.

All candidates wishing to matriculate should take note of the following:

They are to collect their robes between 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. as from Monday, 6th May. 2024 from their Faculty Officers. The robes should be returned in good condition unfailingly to the collection centre not later than 2.00 p.m. on Friday, 10th May, 2024. A fine of Five hundred naira (4500.00) per day will be charged on garments returned later than the stipulated date while damaged or lost robes will be paid for in full;

Each candidate will be required to show the original copy of his or her letter of Admission and evidence of registration (screened and cleared) before collection of the Matriculation robe:

They are also advised to be properly dressed in suits under the academic gowns in the case of men. While ladies should preferably wear their own robes over any reasonably long sleeve English dress; Faculty Officers are to make the matriculation oaths available to students to read and digest before the ceremony;

Endeavor to inform their guests to be on their seats latest by 9.00 a.m. on the day of the Ceremony. All fully-robed matriculating students must also be on their seat, ready for the Academic Procession latest by 9.30 a.m.

Students are to sign the Matriculation Register immediately after the ceremony at their respective Faculty Offices and submit their Matriculation Oath
