Azeez Fashola, known professionally as Naira Marley, is a Nigerian singer and songwriter. He is known as the president of his controversial fan base, “Marlians President”, who was born on 10 May 1991, in Agege, Lagos State.
He has been in music for quite a while before he achieved fame in 2017. Naira Marley entered into the spotlight of Nigerian music with the hit single Issa Goal which featured already established stars like Olamide Badoo, Falz, Simi, Slimcase, and Lil Kesh in the remix of the song.
The young artist was born on 10 May 1991, in Agege, Lagos State. He moved to Peckham in South London, UK at the age of 11. The arrest occurred the day after the video for the controversial single “Am I A Yahoo Boy” was released. Five days later, the EFCC released Zlatan and three others but held Marley in custody due to overwhelming evidence against him.
They were linked to an online fraud that is still under investigation even though he was released from EFCC custody and found not guilty.
